Emerging from the Flame (PERFORMANCE)

The Lucid Fyrë Bellators performed Emerging from the Flame as part of the Bright Beginnings Winter Lights Festival event at the Marquette Commons on January 4, 2025.

Artist Statement:
From the dark of night, a tickle of flame ignites within each of our souls. When we gather together in the dark days of winter to celebrate the returning of warmth and fire with the New Year, we remind ourselves of what is possible as we emerge into the new season.

The Lucid Fyrë Bellators is a fire troupe that has been gathering on the shores of Lake Superior to spin fire for the past two seasons. Emerging from a group of dedicated individuals, the Bellators aim to bring stunning performances to the area, build a thriving flow community, and uplift newcomers to the art form. The troupe is thrilled to partner with the Marquette Arts & Culture Center to bring this illuminating public art performance to downtown and to open the door for more expressive experiences in Marquette.
