Thank you for joining us for the
Tenth and Final City of Marquette Art Week!
Monday, June 23 – Saturday, June 28, 2025
City of Marquette Art Week has been an annual event that invites local artists, organizations, and businesses to come together and collaborate on a week-long series of arts and cultural programming, including concerts, workshops, performance, exhibits, demonstrations, and more, free to the Marquette community.
The mission of Art Week has been to build and empower a vibrant community through the arts by building partnerships and collaboration between artists and organizations, growing and empowering artists, and promoting audience engagement by removing barriers to participate with the arts.
Art Week began in 2015 as an extension of the Office of Arts & Culture’s Art Stroll event. Over the past ten years it’s grown into a vibrant part of Marquette’s booming summer event season, each year inviting new artists, businesses, and organizations to take part to showcase the creative depth of our community and the power of connection, rethink how we utilize public spaces, and offer a platform for barrier-free engagement with arts and culture.
Together, we hosted over 390 events and experiences over 60 total Art Week days, involving almost 600 creatives and over 110 local businesses and community organizations.
Though Art Week as we’ve come to enjoy it has reached its natural end, the City of Marquette Office of Arts & Culture remains committed to serving and advocating for our arts and culture community year-round. We’re confident that the spirit of Art Week will live on through local connections and the breadth of talented creatives that call Marquette home.
Our role remains to support the realization of your creative ideas in Marquette. We look forward to building more resources and opportunities in our city and are incredibly proud to serve a community that celebrates every week as Art Week.

The Office of Arts & Culture extends a huge Marquette thank you to the Michigan Arts & Culture Council for their years of support of Art Week
and around-the-clock efforts to encourage, initiate, and facilitate an enriched artistic, cultural, and creative environment in Michigan.
Art Week connected our community through the arts
Through Art Week, we built partnerships & collaborations among the incredible array of creatives and non-creatives residing in Marquette, MI.
Through cross-disciplinary and “out of the comfort zone” projects created for Art Week, we empowered and inspired the creative community to build lasting connections, learn new skills and strive for artistic excellence.
Art Week Inspired fresh eyes on the familiar
Art Week invited us to stumble upon the creations of our own neighbors and friends. Performances of all kinds were often and everywhere throughout the week. Installations and exhibits turned ordinary spaces into a new realm to explore.
Art Week invited everyone to engage with the arts; to try something new and learn more about our local life through fresh perspectives. Every resident was an audience member during Art Week, with creations discovered around every corner!
Art Week emphasized accessibility
Art Week ensured that everyone experienced the joy of inspiration. Endless opportunities occurred throughout the week for artists and audience to meet in a swirl of creative energy. Art Week events have been free to enjoy and were primarily held outdoors in public spaces to maximize approachability.
Art Week welcomed all levels and forms of creatives to engage with their community, work that will continue for decades to come. Connect with us and we’ll see how we can best support your next big idea!
