Words to Live and Bike By - RESPECT II

Artist: Belle Lagrou

This is the third round of The Words to Live and Bike By project: text-inspired, site-specific murals on the surface of the Holly Greer Bike Path in Marquette. Applicants were asked to submit designs to refresh the original five words installed in 2020 with new interpretations. This phase is a part of the planned maintenance of these public art pieces, to repaint or remove after the projected lifespan of 3-4 years. This project was funded by the City of Marquette Public Art Commission and coordinated by the City Office of Arts & Culture.
