Wimmelbilder, a German term meaning “richly detailed illustrations featuring numerous people, animals, and objects,” brings a sense of silliness and wonder akin to childhood seek-and-find books. Elijah Haswell’s colorful and interactive digital illustrations are designed to engage viewers of all ages, from young children to grandparents.
Haswell aims to share goofiness and imagination, encouraging visitors to look deeper and engage with the art. The exhibit will also feature process images alongside final pieces to showcase the evolution of the illustrations.
